I have a good feeling about 2017. I mean, if waking up on New Year’s Day without a hangover isn’t the sign of a good year to come, then I don’t know what is. I hardly even needed the ColdPress Mean Greens smoothie and box of paracetamol that I had smugly bought yesterday to see me to a day with all the family.
2016 was a truly incredible year and was ended by a night drinking and ceilidh-dancing into the New Year in Arta Glasgow with my family. A fantastic finale to one year, but with that came the impending challenges of 2017.
This year will see the end of my uni experience and I’ll FINALLY be finished with a four-year-long routine. The plan is that I actually end up with a Journalism and English degree but then comes the desperate search of finding somewhere to use it.
So, this year I will:
- Graduate from uni
- Find a career that inspires me
- Find somewhere to live
- Travel
- Maintain (discover) a positive mental attitude
- Write my online diary everyday
- Walk a Victoria Secret fashion show
All pretty basic and achievable, right? I suppose if I’m going to be a more positive and optimistic person, my answer is ‘yes, of course!’.
In an attempt to write my own luck and make this year noteworthy, I am going to document my general thoughts, insecurities and observations on a daily basis. I’m sure you’ll soon discover my interest in fitness/health, fashion and all things aesthetically-pleasing.
You’d think that studying writing for nearly four years would make defining whatever this is a fairly easy thing to do, but with the tiredness of last night’s partying starting to catch up, I’ll just say that this is where I will be coming everyday to vent, and it will basically be my online diary.
