The last couple of months have been surprisingly busy. I feel like I’ve had one thing after another and it’s been stopping me from developing any sort of post-uni routine. Most recently, was a short trip to Majorca – which … Continue reading Five days in Majorca!
You KNOW it’s summer when you have the first barbecue of the year. For me, that lovely day was today. The last few days have reached 29º in central Scotland and I couldn’t tell what was sizzling more; the burgers or my … Continue reading Summer is Here!
I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I’ve only been at this for 4/5 months, but there are about 130 posts on my blog. Surely that means I’m stretching myself too broadly with topics and formats (blah blah blah). Or … Continue reading I’m shaking things up on my blog!
I’ve just discovered the perfect summer/get-ready/get-EXCITED album. It’s a little bit of JT, and his FutureSex/LoveSounds album. Only 10 years and countless months late. But this morning I had an urge to listen to some Justin Timberlake and before I … Continue reading Throwback Album of the Week
I came home last night so that I could spend the day enjoying the sun in an actual garden – because hanging out the flats windows isn’t quite the same – and it worked out so well! After a cloudy start to the day, the blue FINALLY skies appeared and out it was with some friends to spend a good 4 and a half hours of tanning. When it was hitting about 18° I decided to pop on some suncream, but luckily there was no burning here (well, maybe a little bit on my shoulders…) Everything just looks better in … Continue reading Here comes the Sun!
It may have been a Monday morning, but I woke up and felt the urge to go for a run for the first time in almost two weeks. The sun was shining and I couldn’t help but think that that … Continue reading Why NOT to run in the sun
Looking at holidays is so addictive, right? This morning, my day started by seeing where I can get away to later in the summer. Since I already have a holiday booked (one week today!) that is fairly expensive, my goal is to see where I … Continue reading Holiday Stalking!
I’ve been sleeping a lot lately. I’ve been sleeping when I don’t even want to be asleep. In the last week, I’ve even turned my alarm off the odd time and almost forced myself to try for another hour or so. Why? Because I have no responsibilities and I can. I’ve started to notice that this combined with the warmer weather has stopped me from running as much as I’d like to. By the time I get up, it’s too warm to comfortably go for a jog (I like the conditions as cold as possible) and my breakfast afterwards turns … Continue reading Switching up workouts ft 20min HIIT
What has happened to the last week?! The only reason that I even know that it’s Friday – AGAIN – is from all the posts on social media of people ready to go oot scoot. I came in from work … Continue reading Dusting off the piano
Is it just me or are there Botanical Gardens everywhere? I’m not complaining, though. The little parks are dotted around most cities that manage to keep alive plants that should never be growing in Britain. Today, the warm conservatories that keep these plants alive were ideal for walking around in when the wind made today’s sunshine deceivingly cold. I wish I’d taken out my new camera to catch all the loveliness, but my phone had to do. There was even a mini built in desert! And this gorgeous plant. X Continue reading Botanical Gardens
